Angeline Mulyadi

Angeline Muljadi was born in Jakarta , Indonesia, in 1979. She began her music training in Rhapsody Music School , Surabaya , when she started playing piano in 1983. She continued her classical music study in Yayasan Pendidikan Music Jakarta until she graduated from high school and went to the University of Oregon. Here she received a Bachelor of Music degree in Elementary Music Education and Master of Arts in Music Theory.

Played with the University of Oregon Balinese Gamelan under the direction of Robert Kyr in 2000. She enjoyed the beauty of Gamelan and Western Orchestra collaboration, which the group performed in several occasions as part of its curriculum. She received a KodalyOrff Level 1 certifications in 2005. Her music teaching career started in 2000, where she worked for the Oregon Children Choir until 2002. She worked a s a Graduate Teaching Fellow from 2002 to 2003 at the University of Oregon School of Music. From 2006 to 2007 she worked for Pueblo City School, Colorado, teaching music and choir to K-8 students in Goodnight Elementary School . She moved to Parker, Colorado in 2007 and taught music and choir in Cherrelyn Elementary and Charles Hay World Schools until 2009. Angeline has always been fond of her Indonesian heritage and culture. During her college years, Angeline joined Permias (Indonesian Student Association in the USA ) and became its Art and Culture Committee in 2002 to 2003. She has been playing with the Kyai Brojo Marto Javanese Gamelan since 2009.
